Hating us doesn't make you cool. It doesn't mean you're raging against the machine. It means you're way too angry at something that is happening online and you need to go for a walk and drink some chai tea.
We don't get special treatment. There is no green room. There is no special part of the site where we are handed prizes and get foot rubs from Cancer. We volunteer because we really really like this place. Part of the job involves taking a lot of crap from people, especially when we don't deserve it. We are accused of favoritism and being abusive, spiteful, and power hungry people every time we do something someone doesn't like. We are not allowed to bitch and rant about you because you made us angry or insulted us.
We're normal Dark Network fans, just like you. The "It's sad that you have so little of a life that you have to come after me online." Argument is something we have heard time and time again. It's not creative, it's not clever, and it's not true unless the same can be applied to you.
:) And people wonder why Otter is loved by so many.

Had some bad dreams last night. I almost purchase a book on the Manson family on Sunday at the book store but changed my mind.
Last night it must of came back into my mind as I kept waking up from odd snips of dreams that was bloody and screaming. And I kept hearing noises on my porch. Did not really bother me till the motion lights kicked on. That got me out of the bed, and turning on lights.
Then of course I started to think of my Aunt who lived alone, as I do.
She was known to have money in the house- she would let people pay her rent they owed at all time of the day or evening. While we put a stop to that years ago- I do keep cash on me. If you travel a lot like I do cash is always needed. And people know it. I mean… it is not a huge amount but in this area they will kill you for a few hundred dollars.
So of course when I went back to sleep you know what my dreams was of.
amazingly enough, all that tip money I had been hoarding in the house went to the bank yesterday en masse. I just hopped out of bed and decided I didn't like just having it in the house anymore. Funny, but it never seemed to be an issue when we lived in the apartment and the landlord had a key and could let himself in anytime he wanted...
Funny as I told Cat just the other day how nice and quiet VR has been of late. No drama, no shit stirrer to be found. We even joked about how boring it had been of late.
Then one comes out of the wood work. One that make comments to get a reaction. One who loves when people write about them in their journal so he can see what comments others will make. One who loves the attention.
It was like god heard us.
So I only have one question for you god…
Is hot sauce really good on eggs? I see lots of people eating them like that so …. Just asking.

Called Mom to talk to her, not seen her today. I asked her if she remembers where she was 43 years ago today? “Now how would I know that? I don’t know..” :( Then she laughed and said of course she knew- she was having me. Lol
We talked a little and she told me she was proud of how I turned out. That I had grown into a very good woman. I cried. She also told me my father had always been proud of me, that he might have fought with me but he always said he was proud of me. Nice to know as he never told me that. He never told me he loved me- but I knew. I would meet people he had done business with, like picking up parts or something and get told “You his youngest? He sure thinks a lot of you.”
I know Dad was proud of all of his girl, and son. I mean… we hold down jobs, we are not known as trouble makers, we have stayed out of jail, no drugs. Mom said she was proud of all her children. I hope she tells my sisters and brother that too.
Of course- raising has a lot to do with it. And I have the best parents ever.
Now to bed- My birthday is going to end with me on a courier run for four hours.
No, I have the best parents ever! Wanna arm wrestle for it? Tell you what...you keep the trophy this week; I'll keep it next week and we'll keep switching. ;P
Its wonderful to get the confirmation, of things that you felt and wondered about. That was probably the best birthday present that you could have gotten. Happy Birthday, Sis!!!
In the next town and a area we spend time in. I remember us getting lost years ago in the woods of Manchester, trying to find a road the shipper lived on. As we was trying to find it the army inspector pulled up, he was coming to the job to inspect our delivery. After giving up trying to find the place we drove back to town and stopped at the first little gas station/ store.
Dad and the inspector went in, inspector came out saying the people in the store knew nothing. Dad came out a about a minute later and knew just how to go.
Seems he was getting a milk while the inspector falshed his ID, asked if they knew the road. The man behind the counter said no. He walked out. Dad asked him, saying he was just trying to deliver the peoples household, trying to do his job. He said the man behind the counter, and two others smiled and even offered to lead him to the road.
Inspector just laughed when he was told- said it was not the first time. "But the most powerful thing I can do is suspend movers...what do they think I will do to them?"
Seems this man learned the hard way- you don't let your guard down in parts of Ky. And you sure the hell don't set them off, no matter how stupid it is.
I love Ky....but there are parts....sigh....ok I love Clay too but......dang it....I sure do not love the behavior of those who live there.

That generally means the driver (generally pissed at the company) parked it somewhere and left it in protest of whatever they did to him. lol I saw it a lot at work.
Reminds me of a time I worked for a distributor and had a shippment of Plotters (ten of them at $15,000 each) on a truck going from Harrisburg to Miami...
The driver got hijacked near Atlanta and his truck was stolen.
Probably means he stopped in Atlanta to get a hooker and while he was occupied, her pimp was stealing his truck...
At least, that's what I always assumed happened...
I would be pissed it was my stuff on the truck, but there is a reason why you try to keep employees happy.

Watching the news at 11:00pm last night because the preview talked of a fire at a warehouse in Lexington, Ky. I wanted to know which one burned when the newscaster told of a breaking news.
“A few hours ago a man was shot at XX St.”
That is the street my sister works at. She moved to Lexington …20 years ago to work for a man who owned three apartment building with a total of 900 apartments. She became the onsite manager for him, living in a apartment with a office beside the pool.
Things changed, he sold two of the apartment complex and kept the one. When the area became more…can I say thug like? Yeah I can as it is my journal… she had become fearful of living there. While her apartments was cool- she is picky, the others around her was going to hell.
Fast forward to about 4 years ago. After several threats from people in the area as she would call the police and tell them drug deals was being made on the street corner in front of her office.
It came down to the point of her telling her boss “I want out. I don’t mind working here- but I will not live here.” She knew it was a chance of being fired and losing a good paying job but her safety is worth more. Beside- she could always come home and help us.
Boss man said she could move- he even gave her the rent amount for her apartment as that had been part of her pay. She could move BUT she had to stay within a 5/8 miles area as she is still the “onsite” manager.
Having her job cut in 3rds when he sold the other two apartments she knew it was a good deal. Lucky she found a home she could afford within the mile limit, an older subdivision with two cops living on her street, a shopping mall and hospital within view. She laughed it must be safe with the cops living there- I told her it was because they just did not want to be far from the hot spot of crime.
But we moved her in, along with a room mate of a woman she had known since high school and her mom. Her mother health had started to fail and she needed help with her so the three bedrooms left us with no guest room to visit. But she is helping those she cares for, half the house payment is paid by them, and they are like family.
You would think all would be happy- till you learn of the shooting that took place in the park that is right in front of her office. That… worries me. I called her but she was at her office, trying to help the police with the security camera tapes the apartment has on the parking lot, outside of the buildings.
I just wish she would come home. But I know she is settle in Lexington, never plans to return home. Hell- it is impossible to get her to come home on her days off it seems. She has a life - friends, a god child she loves very much, family really. I understand all that. And I would never begrudge her living her life.
I just wish she had another job is all. Hearing of a shooting and her dealing with police just makes me nervous.
And in the first day of fall I am going to 'try' and update my profile. In other words.... I am going to screw it up really well. :) I know, I can hear you all "Copy paste your code into a doc that way you can put it back if you mess up." I just hope the new Codes Cancer has put in let's me go back to my old one.

Done putting my Fall decorations up. I was doing the same thing last year when they called about Dad.
I love people. Man calls and he has a family room, living room, stove, ref, washer and dryer, riding mower, patio set, three full bedroom that has a sitting rooms in two of those and a baby grand piano. I asked him what kind of homes and he tells me he is in a two level with basement ( fuck it people- just say three floors) and going back into the same.
So I priced him four men (baby grand calls for four- trust me) and he had a shit fit. "Hell- I did not want to buy your company, just get moved"

If you think you can move it in three... then fucking do it yourself prick.
I love people- I know the area he lives in, the type of homes. The man is not hurting for money. Yes I know times are hard...but you are the type of person who will spend $800 for a nightstand but not that much to move your whole household?
You know no matter who they call, they're going to say a piano and three story house isn't going to be a cheap move. If they want cheap, they can move it themselves and damage it in the process.

When I see Whitney Houston talk about how Bobby ruined her life, beat her, abused her, blah blah blah I just get pissed. Don’t get me wrong- woman should never be abused by a man. Any man who does it is shit and should have their balls cut off and feed to them.
I think of all the woman who have no homes to go to, no family, no way to earn a living, no one to protect them, no money to get a lawyer… and just get pissed.
I will be the devil's advocat and say 50/50, fear can be a factor that paralized you and controls you, also low self estime, money can not buy that, and it is easy to destroy it when you are an abuser, the abuse knows what button to press to control.
Then again she had the money to hqave his ball cut and fed to him...so 50/50
Pfft. Who doesn't have self esteem issues? It's called ownership. You have issues beyond what someone else does to you if you feel okay with the fact that he punches you whenever he feels like it.
There's little room for pity in these situations, it's a cowardly thing to do, blame someone else for ruining your life. It is YOUR life.

Tried some new things tonight I have not done before. I made a caesar salad dressing from scratch and toasted up fresh croutons with garlic and butter.
Mmmm good.
I also learned to not use as much anchovies next time. Kind of strong for my taste.

Sis is working on bills today, leaving me to answer the phones.
With breaks between crying.
It is last years bills, paperwork. His paperwork. She just found a weight ticket that he used the back of to do the math- his handwriting. His notes on how to get to the homes, his log books.
I remember his last pack job. It was after he pasted away and we delivered a shipment out of storage- the last one he packed on. I kept thinking- this is it. This is the last ones I will ever see of his. He is gone after this.
I used a knife and cut the box so I could keep his writing of what room and contents of the carton.
And his log book, updated to a few days before he died, is in my desk.
It is the small things that set us both off crying it seems.
Wow. Someone added my journal to their favorites and I went from 3% to 5% of my level.

Maybe I should kiss ass and get more people to add me. I should message random people on here and ask them to add me. And put it on my stamp that I rate with. Go into the forum and put out a thread. I enjoy watching my level go up and down every time someone adds me and then removes me, then adds me and removes me again and again, probably thinking I'll eventually add them back. It's like being on a see saw. I liked see saws as a kid. I like them now too! :P
No artificial number from pimping out will make it truly a favorite from a stranger. Drive by inflation might be the rave, but it doesn't mean a thing to a lot of people on here who are here for more than just stats.

Watch a little of the MTV award show last night. Big mistake.
Kanye. If I was Taylor I would of given his back a swing with the award, telling him to sit the fuck down. But you have to give it - great press coming out of that little stunt. What is the saying? Any press is better then none.

Lady Gaga outfits- really? When did it become "normal" for ladies to wear swim suits to perform in? What is that shit? Pink at least had a reason for her outfit but Lady Gaga and Beyonce outfits... I miss ball gowns. I miss nice dresses on woman as they stand on stage and sing, dance and sway a little as the dancers move behind them. I mean- Madonna Like a Virgin performance was freaking hot and she had clothes on.
And when did MTV turn so commercial? Bad enough they don’t so any music videos. Now it is just one ad after another.
Michael Jackson part was nice. I think Janet did a good show for him, to honor him. Then I read this morning that LaToya Jackson believes her brother Michael Jackson was murdered by a group of conspirators trying to get hold of his fortune... and it goes back on the crazy train again for me.
I will give it to Beyonce....She was appalled at what Kanye did and later, when she received her award, she called Taylor Swift up, onto the stage, to allow her to have the limelight that she deserved, for that moment in time.
I believe the saying is "even bad press is better than no press at all"
And you know who created that saying? Publicists and managers who wanted to make the most out of what ever shit brained fool they happen to be stuck with. And lo and behold televised bad behavior was born.
Just goes to prove that country girls have class, and Beyonce deserved a hand for what she did, whether it was staged or not- and yourube is crammed FULL of people talking about what happened. So yeah, staged or not, the exposure and publicity are there. Instant and free, and certainly more so than ever thanks to places like youtube.
I agree with you- I miss ladies acting with class, and gentlemen behaving as such. Used to be with my mom, watching these things were as much about seeing what everybody was wearing, to ooh and aah. NOT "WTF were they thinking??" and seeing who could outdo who in the stupid trashy division...

The reaction on the President being told “You lie!” is a bunch of bull. One- It is not just the one person saying it, listen to all the booing he is getting. Anyone who watched and listen could tell there is strife about his speech. And has anyone step up to prove if he was in fact lying or not?
Makes me wonder about debate during the writing of the Constitution of the United States back in 1787. How much hissing, screaming, slamming of fist on desk tops do you think went on then? I am willing to be the talks got out of hand a few times. And all this shit from just his words of “You lie!”? What of all the other people who boo him?
Maybe that is what we need more of- make them butt heads on the TV, debate the information. They sure aren’t getting anywhere the way they are going.
And to read that they are trying to get the Rep. to step down… hell no. He said he was sorry- get over it.
I think we should have a town meeting and just let them fight it out, then let us (ones who are going to be paying for this great health care plan) decide how we want to go. If you can vote for your favorite American Idol, then we can do this, can’t we?

FOX beat out the competition with So You Think You Can Dance with a 3.1 rating and an 8.0 share among Adults 18-49. They fared even better among younger viewers; who are supposed to like Obama. Just think if FOX aired something that people WANTED to watch, like Idol. People are getting oversaturated with Obama on the TV. And it shows.
Have to say I watched a movie. I read up on the speech this morning, watched highlights on youtube.

After I go to a funeral for my cousin who past away months ago- his family is bringing his ashes home to bury. Guess I am going as mom and sister are not- mom due to her age, sister due to her staying with mom.
A visit to dad's grave while I am there. That might not be a bad thing- It seems I am counting the days down to the one year mark- it is the 13th. Having some bad days with that...
But now to sleep as I have a early ass wake up for a trip to Ft. Campbell to take the SGT. into storage.
I just came onto VR to check messages and it seems I have a lot to catch up on her- really need to read and study the new updates, rules it seems.
But not tonight.. tonight is all about sleep. Oh did I tell ya,,,, I also caught a cold it seems. Head is stuffed up, chest hurts, ears ringing, eyes stinging, and I am freaking cold with the temp set to 75 in the house.
Yeah me...three day weekend and I will be lucky to feel like getting out of bed.
